The North & East Sikkim Highland Border Circuit is a comprehensive 7-day expedition connecting the legendary border landmarks of East Sikkim with the remote glacial valleys of North Sikkim. Starting from Bagdogra or NJP, you base in Gangtok to ascend to glacial Tsomgo Lake (12,313 ft), Baba Mandir, and the historic Indo-China trade gate at Nathu La (14,140 ft). You then venture north through dramatic Teesta river canyons to Lachen (9,000 ft) for the morning ascent to holy Gurudongmar Lake at 17,800 ft. Crossing to Lachung, you explore Yumthang Valley of Flowers and Zero Point before returning to Gangtok. It is the definitive high-altitude circuit of Sikkim.
