The North & West Sikkim Alpine Grand Explorer is an ambitious 8-day itinerary connecting two contrasting worlds of Sikkim: the raw, glaciated frontier of North Sikkim and the serene, historic monasteries of West Sikkim. Commencing from NJP or Bagdogra, you travel via Gangtok to Lachen to witness holy Gurudongmar Lake at 17,800 ft and Yumthang Valley in Lachung. Descending southward across the mountain divide, you visit the iconic 130-ft Buddha Park at Ravangla before settling in Pelling, where premier heritage monasteries like Pemayangtse and the royal ruins of Rabdentse sit framed against Mount Kanchenjunga.
